How to subscribe (
iTunes required)
Click the podcast button to the left and if you have iTunes installed, it
will prompt you with a box and all you have to do is click "Launch application".
If that doesn't work, follow these simple instructions to subscribe manually:
- Launch iTunes.
- In the Advanced menu, select Subscribe to Podcast.
- Enter our feed URL
in the text box and click OK.
Using either method, iTunes will display your Podcast playlist, which shows all of
the podcasts to which you have subscribed. Next to the ThirstyTree.org podcast
subscription, you should see an orange circle, which indicates that iTunes is
downloading the most recent episode. When the orange circle disappears, you should
be able to see the podcast title, a list of all the episodes referenced in the feed,
and a check next to the most recent episode, indicating that it has been successfully
downloaded. Double-click on the episode to play it in iTunes. Click on "get" to
download any episode you don't already have.
Why podcasts?
Podcasting is an affordable method that allows
us here at ThirstyTree.org to talk to you, our
listeners without the need for high-end equipment.
We don't need to have our own radio station or a
large studio to produce our podcasts. ThirstyTree.org
also strives to be relevant to our changing world and
we want to use current technology to connect with people
around the globe.
So What is podcasting?
