How to do observation

For instance, repeated words or ideas. That is a great (and common) observation. If a concept is repeated in a passage, it probably means that concept is significant to what the author is trying to get across.

A great observation is what is not there. If you are really good you can see what is missing.

Let's be honest. This is a skill you need in every area of life. If you are more observant around your significant other, it helps. You make less mistakes.

Training yourself to be more observant is a great life-skill no matter what your thoughts on the Bible.

Again -- try making some good observations about commercials on TV. Actually try this. Watch a commercial and watch intently. Observe what is happening. What are they repeating. This leads to an easy interpretation (you are ugly and smelly unless you buy their product).

This is like a muscle -- it will get stronger with practice.

Let's be honest. Some of us think we already know just about everything in the Bible. It can't be new. I've read it; I've gone to church my whole life...how can I learn something today. test A few comments on this. First, this is just arrogance and should be eliminated from your life with intention. Second, it's not true. There is so much to learn in scripture. The handful of people I have met that I would say actually know just about everything in the scriptures are the biggest proponents of studying the text each and every day and they are in the Bible every day. Going deeper is always possible. And I can prove it.
